NEET UG 2025 Counseling: Who is this counseling for?
NEET UG 2025 counseling is for all those candidates who have passed this year's NEET UG exam. This exam is conducted for admission in medical, dental, and related courses like MBBS, BDS, and BSc Nursing. This process is especially for those students who want to take admission in government or private medical colleges, deemed universities, AIIMS, JIPMER, or other central institutions of India. Apart from this, candidates who could not get the seat of their choice in the first round can apply for new seats in this round.
NEET UG 2025 Counseling Schedule: What is the new schedule of Round-2?
MCC has released the revised dates for Round 2 of NEET UG 2025. Now candidates can choose the colleges and courses of their choice from September 5 to September 15. The choice locking facility will start from 1 pm on September 14 and will run till 8 am on September 15. The seat allocation process will be from September 15 to 16, and the result will be declared on September 17. Those who get the seat will have to report to their allotted institute from September 18 to 25, 2025, and complete the admission process.
What are the dates of Round 3
The third round of counseling will start on September 29, 2025. Registration and fee payment will be from September 29 to October 5. Choice filling will run from September 30 to October 5. Choice locking can be done on October 5 from 4 pm to 11:55 pm. The seat allocation process will be from October 6 to 7, and the result will come on October 8. After this, the candidates will have to go to their institutions from October 9 to 17 and take admission.
Who will benefit from this?
This counseling will benefit the most those students who could not get a seat in the first round. If you did not get the desired seat in the first round, then this round is a new opportunity for you. Addition of new seats
MCC has recently added 197 new seats to the seat matrix of Round 2. A total of 1,134 new seats were made available for MBBS and BDS courses after the first round. Apart from this, 7,088 virtual vacant seats and 13,501 apparent vacant seats are available in MBBS, BDS, and BSc Nursing courses. These 197 new seats are not included in these.
