ONGC has invited applications for apprenticeships for a total of 2,743 positions. Applications have been invited for apprenticeship positions such as Computer Operator, Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Fire Safety Supervisor, Fire Safety Technician, Lab Chemist, Library Assistant, Mechanic, Storekeeper, Civil Executive, and Storekeeper.
Opportunity only for citizens of these states
ONGC has invited applications for a total of 2,743 apprenticeship positions. This includes 165 in the North Sector, 569 in the Mumbai Sector, 856 in the West Sector, 578 in the East Sector, 322 in the South Sector, and 253 in the Central Sector. Notably, only residents of the states under these ONGC sectors can apply for apprenticeship positions.
Apply online by November 6th
ONGC issued a notification for apprenticeship positions on October 16th. With this, the application process has begun. The deadline for applications is November 6th, 2025. Applications can be made online by visiting http://apprenticeindia.gov.in/. Applicants between the ages of 18 and 24 can apply for an apprenticeship. Applicants' date of birth must be between November 6, 2001, and November 6, 2007. SC and ST candidates will receive a 5-year age relaxation, while OBC candidates will receive a 3-year relaxation.
Who can apply?
Graduates, diploma holders, ITI graduates, and 10th-grade passouts are eligible for ONGC apprenticeships. Graduate apprentices can apply for BA, BCom, BSc, BBA, BE, or BTech. Diploma apprentices can apply for diploma apprenticeships. Similarly, ITI graduates in trades such as COPA, electrician, fitter, diesel mechanic, and welder can apply for trade apprenticeships. For some trades, such as Library Assistant, 10th-grade pass candidates can apply.
Stipend up to 12,000 rupees, no job guarantee
Candidates selected for the ONGC apprenticeship will receive a stipend ranging from 8,000 to 12,000 rupees per month. For example, as per the rules, graduate apprentices will receive 12,300 rupees, diploma apprentices 10,900 rupees, trade apprentices ITI 10,560 to 9,600 rupees, and 10th-grade apprentices 8,200 rupees.
