‘National Crush’ Rashmika Mandanna has been making waves recently for her engagement to her ‘Dear Comrade’ co-star Vijay Devarakonda. Known for blockbusters such as the Allu Arjun-starrer ‘Pushpa’ and it’s sequel as well as Ranbir Kapoor led ‘Animal’, Mandanna has carved a space for herself in both Tollywood and Bollywood. However the journey towards stratospheric success had been far from a bed of roses for the bubbly star.

In a candid interview with the Hindustan Times, the ‘Geetha Govindam’ star said that there was a time she did not have any toys and her parents struggled to afford rent. “I am taking the liberty of recalling how they used to find it hard to search for a place for us to live in and pay those rents," she recalled.

She said that she never asked her parents for toys as she knew they wouldn’t be able to afford them. “In my heart, I am still that girl who could not even buy a toy," she said. “I respect the money I earn, the love I receive and the acknowledgement that I get as an actor…” she maintained.

Although neither Devarakonda nor Mandanna has made social media announcements regarding their engagement, a source close to Deverakonda has told Deccan Chronicle that they recently held their engagement ceremony and will reportedly tie the knot early next year.

A Look At Rashmika’s Net Worth Today

As per a report by Forbes, Rashmika has a networth of a staggering Rs 66 crore. She typically charges Rs 4 crore per film.
