Maruti Suzuki Victor- Maruti Suzuki has launched the Victoris through its Arena network. This SUV is built on the company's Grand Vitara platform and is positioned between the Brezza and Vitara. Its starting price is ₹10.49 lakh. The Victoris is available in mild hybrid, strong hybrid, and CNG variants with a 1.5-liter petrol engine. The automatic model also has the option of AWD, which is a major plus point for off-road enthusiasts.
- Vietnamese auto company Vinfast launched its first electric SUV, the VF6, in India on September 6, 2025. This 4.23-meter-long compact SUV has a starting price of ₹16.49 lakh (approximately $16.49 lakh). The VF6 is powered by a 59.6 kWh battery pack that produces 204 hp and 310 Nm of torque. Its ARAI-certified range is 410 km, while it can travel 480 km using WLTP. Fast charging allows it to reach 80% charge in just 25 minutes. It features a 12.9-inch touchscreen, ventilated seats, a heads-up display, and seven airbags.
- Following the VF6, Vinfast launched the VF7. This mid-size SUV measures 4.5 meters in length. Its starting price is ₹20.89 lakh (approximately $20.89 lakh). It features a 70.8 kWh battery. The VF7 is offered in two options: a 204 hp single-motor and a 350 hp dual-motor AWD. The SUV offers a range of up to 510 km on WLTP standards. Its design is modern and bold, featuring LED taillights and a panoramic roof.
- Volvo launched its most affordable EV SUV, the EX30, in India in mid-September 2025. Prices start at ₹39.99 lakh, and it competes with the BMW iX1 and Hyundai Ioniq 5. The EX30 features a 69 kWh battery pack and a 272 hp electric motor. Its range is 480 km at WLTP standards. It can be charged in just 25 minutes using a 150 kW DC charger. It features Volvo's signature safety features, including seven airbags, ESC, and Level-2 ADAS. Its minimalist interior and recycled materials make it eco-friendly.
- The Citroen Basalt X was introduced on September 5th and is priced starting at ₹11.63 lakh (approximately $1.16 million). It's powered by a 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine that produces 110 hp and a claimed mileage of around 18 kmpl. The Basalt X features a coupe-style design that will appeal to young people. Its interior features bronze accents, a new dashboard, and black-and-tan upholstery. It also boasts features like Level 1 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, and keyless entry.
