A sea that sees waves of dreams
Now Crouched and crippled or so it seems
A path laden with sparks of green
Soon to turn into a crimson so sheen
A sky filled with clouds of white
Soon to be engulfed in smokes of a fight
Majestic mountains, resilient so rare
Hijacked, now naked now bare
Rivers running deep with pride, gushing with joy
Carry the burden of salt from tears so coy
Meadows flowing with winds of laughter
Soon pregnant with loud cries so bitter
In the wee hours of dawn seeking light
Only to be blinded by hues of might
Streets filled with the spark of trade
Now witness to the loom of silence so made
This motherland grieves, for a child has seen enough
This motherland cries, for a child needs to heal
This motherland calls, for a child needs to be protected
This motherland hopes for the child still sees hope.
