It might not even be Halloween yet, but savvy shoppers are already thinking about Christmas gifts. Buying early can make the financial toll of the festive season a little bit lighter, and plenty of brands are launching ranges that make perfect gifts for the whole family.
Take Oodie, for example. The brand is beloved for its cosy hoodies, blankets and dressing gowns that are just perfect for snuggling up on the sofa. Today (October 7), Oodie has launched a new range of Harry Potter-themed sleepwear, blankets and dressing gowns that might just make the perfect gift for Potterheads in the family.
Let's take a look at the new range, as well as some festive classics, that might make ideal Christmas gifts. There are plenty of designs and colours to choose from, so there could be something for everyone.

Whether shoppers have been sorted into Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw, Oodie has four sherpa dressing gowns in the House designs. There are four options available, one for each of the Hogwarts houses, and each is decorated with House insignia and coloured to match.
If shoppers' kids would like a dressing gown that looks just like a set of Hogwarts robes, however, they could take a look at this Harry Potter Dressing Gown for £25.49 at Amazon. Available in a range of children's sizes from age 5-6 all the way up to age 12-13, it's designed to look like Harry's Gryffindor robes complete with a pointy hood.
2. House Sleep Tees (£65)
While Oodie's dressing gowns are lovely for chilly nights on the sofa, many shoppers prefer something a little lighter for wearing in bed. Helpfully, the Harry Potter range includes House-themed Sleep Tees which are wonderfully oversized, have House lettering and prints, and come in corresponding colours - choose from Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw.
George at Asda also has a cute Harry Potter nightdress for adults, which costs £17 online. Set against a black background, this one is printed with all of the Houses so shoppers don't have to choose - but only size large is left in stock.
3. Marauder's Map Sherpa Blanket (£69)
Shoppers who dare to utter the words 'I solemnly swear that I am up to no good' could bundle themselves up in Oodie's Marauder's Map blanketthis winter. The beige and burgundy blanket is super soft and cosy, and features an all-over Marauder's Map print. Mischief managed.
Amazon also has a Marauder's Map blanket for £29.99. It's made with microfibre fleece, so lacks Oodie's Sherpa fleece cosiness, but it's still said to have an 'ultra silky touch'.
4. Dobby Sherpa Blanket (£69)
Everyone's favourite house elf is the main character of this snuggly Oodie blanket. The blue design features cute cartoon prints of Dobby, with the printed side made from a silky soft fabric and the inner a cosy Sherpa fleece.
If shoppers would prefer a Hedwig-themed blanket, they could take a look at the Harry Potter White Hedwig Fleece Blanket for £8 from Dunelm. This white blanket is printed with Hedwig carrying a letter, and is made from 100% polyester.
5. Christmas Cookie Oodie Original - was £65, now £45.50
Those who'd rather a super Christmassy Oodie could check out the Christmas Cookie Oodie Original, which is available for pre-order. The cosy classic Oodie has an oversized fit, a large hood, a front pocket and the ToastyTek™ outer and sherpa fleece inner.
For more traditional pyjamas with a Christmas theme, shoppers could take a look at the Navy Pudding Matching Family Christmas Cosy Long Sleeve Pyjamas for £26 from Next. These pyjamas for women come in sizes XS to 2XL across regular, petite and tall ranges, and Next stocks options for kids and men so the whole family can match.
6. Avocado Oodie Original - was £65, now £45.50
For a year-round classic, shoppers can take a look at the Avocado Oodie Original. Available in the original OOD one size or the slightly smaller S/M, this one features a cute avocado cartoon print against a mint green background.
While the Oodie is a fan favourite since it combines a hoodie and a blanket into a wearable one-piece, those who would prefer a traditional blanket could take a look at Amazon's Sowide Avocado Blanket for £15.79. This one has a similarly cute avocado print and is perfect for little ones.
Shoppers who've bought the Avocado Oodie Original seem thrilled with their purchase. One said: "Bought for my niece, she absolutely loves it, if she's not in her school clothes she's in her Oodie." Another reviewer wrote: "In love with my Oodie. So warm and cosy."
However, some found it wasn't right for them. One buyer said on Trustpilot: "Great quality item but a bit too short. I’m 172cm and got large and it’s a bit short in the body and legs."
7. Multi Stripe Sherpa Dressing Gown - was £75, now £52.50
Finally, shoppers who'd like a pop of colour could take a look at the Multi Stripe Sherpa Dressing Gown. This multi-coloured dressing gown comes in sizes S/M, L/XL or one-size OOD, so there's an option for everyone, and it has a nice big hood for extra warmth.
If the rainbow effect isn't calling out to shoppers, they could take a look at the Chunky Sherpa Stripe Hooded Dressing Gown in Red for £34 from Very. This one has pink and burgundy stripes and is available from sizes S to XL, complete with a cosy hood and a tie belt.
However, buyers of the Oodie dressing gown have left rave reviews online. One said: "Gorgeous thick plushy fabric, super cosy. Prefer this over my actual pull over Oodie. Pockets are great too. No complaints."
Another wrote: "I love my new Oodie gown. It is soft and cuddly and so warm on these cold winter days."
That said, some found the length to be an issue. One buyer said: "Very thick and cosy, the only negative is that it is a bit a short in length."
