Team India pacer Mukesh Kumar, who recently returned from the England tour, has now stepped into the world of business. The fast bowler, whose displeasure with head coach Gautam Gambhir made headlines, has launched his own bike dealership in Gorakhpur.
Mukesh Kumar Opens TVS DealershipOn August 7, Mukesh Kumar inaugurated his new TVS bike agency in Gorakhpur. His close friend and fellow cricketer Akash Deep graced the ceremony as the chief guest. Alongside his cricket career, Mukesh will now also be managing this business venture.
The Displeasure with Gautam GambhirThe backstory goes back to Mukesh’s stint with India A during the England tour. In the first unofficial Test against England Lions, Mukesh picked up three wickets, while pacer Harshit Rana managed only one. However, when Team India’s squad was announced, Harshit was included, while Mukesh was sent back home.
Shortly after, Mukesh posted a cryptic message on social media:
“Every deed is accounted for with time. You should always be cautious because karma definitely takes revenge. There is no forgiveness for it.”
The timing of this post led many to believe that it was a veiled dig at Gambhir, although Mukesh never mentioned his name directly.
Balancing Cricket and BusinessCurrently, Mukesh Kumar is also playing in the UP T20 League, while simultaneously taking steps to secure his future beyond cricket. His decision to enter the bike business is seen as a smart move, ensuring stability alongside his sporting career.
