Ozzy Osbourne's official death certificate has paid a touching tribute to the Black Sabbath frontman, describing his occupation in three unforgettable words: "rock legend, songwriter and performer". The music world was left heartbroken after the 76-year-old, famously known as the 'Prince of Darkness', died on July 22 surrounded by his family, following a long battle with Parkinson's disease and other health complications.

According to the document, Ozzy died from "acute myocardial infarction" and "out of hospital cardiac arrest," with Parkinson's disease and coronary artery disease listed as contributing factors. The emotional details come just weeks after Osbourne's poignant final performance in his hometown of Birmingham, the city where his iconic career first began.

The unforgettable show at Villa Park marked his last stage appearance. It featured some of his biggest hits, including Mama, I'm Coming Home, and Crazy Train, as confetti rained down and fans lit up the night with phone torches.

In what turned out to be a fitting farewell, Ozzy closed the show with a surprise reunion alongside his Black Sabbath bandmates - their first time performing together in two decades. Reflecting on the experience, Ozzy had said the encore meant "everything".

The singer was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2019 and had been battling ongoing health issues. Despite this, he remained fiercely passionate about music, performing until the very end.

Ozzy was remembered in true rock 'n' roll style as 110 of his closest friends and family gathered last week for an emotional memorial at the 250-acre estate he shared with wife Sharon. Tents and a stage were set up on the grounds of the mansion the couple bought in 1993, where heartfelt tributes poured in for the late Black Sabbath frontman.

The home was filled with photos celebrating Ozzy's life, and each mourner was given a keepsake photograph of the music legend to take home. Among the guests were Ozzy's children, Jack, 39, Kelly, 40, Aimee, 41, and Louis, 50, his son from his first marriage to Thelma Riley - as well as Sharon, who stood firm by her husband's side throughout his decades-long career.

A roll call of rock's biggest names turned out to honour the Prince of Darkness, including his Black Sabbath bandmates, Metallica's James Hetfield, Yungblud, and Sir Elton John. Marilyn Manson flew in from the US to pay his respects, joining Ozzy's longtime guitarist Zakk Wylde and Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor.
