Southend fire LIVE: At least one injured in horror theatre blaze as firefighters shut road

Firefighters have closed a road in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, as they tackle a fire at the town's Palace Theatre.

Photos shared on social media show black smoke billowing from the theatre, with police and firefighters at the scene.

Online reports suggest at least one person has been injured in the blaze.

The Essex Fire Service has been contacted for comment.
