York-Harrogate trains: Van crashes at level crossing sparking cancellations

Trains between York and Harrogate have been cancelled after a van crashed at a level crossing and was left smashed up on the tracks.

The van has now been removed from the tracks.

The incident is likely to cause massive disruption for hundreds travelling by train to the Great Yorkshire Show.

Officers are currently in attendance with North Yorkshire Police warning there is likely to be disruption for some time.
