Kanpur: Following directives of district magistrate, the Food Safety and Drug Administration Department, Kanpur Nagar, initiated efforts to train street food vendors in the district on food safety awareness. In this context, a training camp is being organised with the collaboration of the National Association for Street Vendors of India (NASVI) and FSDA.
During the training, street vendors are given detailed information on cleanliness and hygiene, proper storage of food materials, and food safety standards.
All vendors receiving training are provided with food safety kits (aprons, head covers, masks, etc.) free of charge.
