BHOPAL: A 14-year-old girl, studying in Class 9, was allegedly gangraped in an SUV by three individuals in Betul district of Madhya Pradesh on Friday, police said.
According to police, the accused offered her a lift and kept her in captivity for three hours, during which they took turns to rape her before dropping her off at Aamla railway station at night.
Scared and traumatised, the girl did not return home but stayed at the railway station. On Saturday morning, some police personnel on patrol grew suspicious when they spotted the girl in the waiting room. After being counselled, she narrated her ordeal. Her parents were also informed and a case registered against the three accused.
"Three have been booked for rape. The two, who raped her, have been arrested, while the third, who was behind the wheel, is on the run. Searches are on and he will be nabbed soon," additional SP Betul, Kamla Joshi, told TOI.
